Hamlin Beach, New York

Haaaaay! I walked the beaches of Lake Ontario, NY a few days ago. It was such a beautiful day out and it was so sunny! I didn't end up with that much glass but what I did find was really quite frosty and beautiful. I found lots of brown, white, green one piece of cobalt and three pieces of aqua. I will add a few pics as soon as I get them off of my camera :)

Memorial Weekend 2010!

Greetings from the beautiful St. Lawrence Seaway! This posting is a little bit late but I started a draft so I thought I would finish it. :)
I spent the entire Memorial Day weekend in the 1,000 Islands region and searched for "river" glass. I actually found quite a bit... probably 1/2 of a large Ziploc bag full. I sorted thru it and came up with a lot of jewelry quality pieces of glass and pottery shards. I also found a bunch of bonfire glass and two pieces of milk glass. I was very happy with my finds! Hooray!
Hopefully most of this glass will be listed in my Etsy store sooner than later! Please check it out here... St. Lawrence Sea Glass

I also have some really cool old bottles and canning jars for sale too! Check them out!

Hilton Head Beaches

I've been in the Hilton Head, South Carolina area for a few months now and haven't seen one lick of sea glass! I figured it had to be a give in since your on the ocean, right? Well, I've seen nothing, nada, zero pieces! What the heck! I feel kinda jipped since I had it in my mind that the beaches were probably littered with glass and pottery shards! Boo! Hiss! I'll get over it. I'm actually heading up to the Kure Beach, North Carolina area next week so I will report back with any findings! :)

I will be listing more sea glass beads today at my Etsy store! Hooray! Please check them out and let me know what you think! Hopefully you like :)

St. Lawrence Sea Glass

I started listing Sea Glass Beads on Etsy.com. My website address is stlawrenceseaglass.etsy.com Feel free to swing on over and browse thru my sea glass!

I've been collecting sea glass for over 12 years now. It started on the shores of the St. Lawrence River located in the Thousand Islands and I haven't stopped yet! I'm a sea glass freak, actually. I collect and collect and never really get rid of any. I have tubs full. Then I started buying from very reputable sellers and now I have even more from all over the world! I've got a problem. I know. Well... the first step is recognizing the problem, isn't it? Ok, so that is were my etsy store comes in. I've already listed some items and you can find them here :) St. Lawrence Sea Glass Store.
